Can I use my ARM926 code for an ARM11 core ?

Applies to: ARM1136, ARM1176, ARM926EJ-S

Answer

If the ARM1136 is used in legacy mode (ie you don't explicitly turn on support for the new Architecture V6 features), existing ARM926 code should work. The ARM1136/76 are backwards compatible. The only exception is tiny (1K) pages, which are not supported in ARM Architecture V6.
