What is RDI?

Answer

RDI, the "Remote Debug Interface", was the interface used to connect a debugger to a debug target, in SDT and ADS.  It was used by armsd, ADW, AXD, Multi-ICE and ARMulator.  The last version of RDI was RDI 1.5.1, and this has become a widely adopted standard, in use by a number of debugger vendors and debug target vendors.

Since RVDS 2.0, this interface has been deprecated, and support for it was dropped completely in RVDS 3.1.  The Keil tools still support connection to RDI targets.
