QUESTION

Which 8051-based microcontrollers are compatible with the Keil C51 compiler?

ANSWER

The C51 toolset supports all derivitives from AMD, Atmel, Cypress, Dallas Semiconductor, Intel, ISSI, OKI, Philips, Infineon, SMC, TDK, Temic, and so on. Additional derivitaves should work provided that they are 100% instruction-compatible with the 8051.

Refer to the Device Database for a complete listing of all chips supported by the Keil tools. If you are concerned about compatibility issues with a particular microcontroller, submit it to us using the Device Problem Report and we'll be sure to add support for it (if we don't already).
