QUESTION

When I assemble my 8051/80251 assembly source file, I get the following diagnostic:

ERROR 4: BAD INDIRECT REGISTER IDENTIFIER

ANSWER

This error occurs if combined registers are entered incorrectly. For example:

@R7, @R3, @PC+A, @DPTR+A
