QUESTION

I need to assign a constant value to an absolute address in CODE space. How can I initialize the bytes at F000h and F001h to contains special values?

ANSWER

One way to do this is in assembly. For example:

CSEG AT 0F000h

CFG_BYTE_0: DB 12h
CFG_BYTE_1: DB 34h

END

This works well and is easy to understand.
