I'm using an 8051 derivative with only 128 bytes of DATA memory. My program uses several register banks. I want to use the RAM from 00h ro 1Fh in my program. How can I do that?
On the 8051, the memory area from 00h to 1Fh is used as the registers R0-R7 for Register banks 0, 1, 2, and 3.
Since you must use registers to write useful 8051 code, you can't use all of this memory. If you use only register bank 0, the C compiler will automatically use the memory from address 08h and up.
