ARM documentation set for the hardware platforms family of products, including Versatile Express, Versatile and Integrator baseboards, core tiles, logic tiles, core modules, and various interface boards and modules.
ARM Hardware Platforms are ideal systems for prototyping ARM-based products. They are suitable for architecture and CPU evaluation, hardware and software design, and ASIC emulation.
- The Versatile Express development platform provides an ultra fast environment for prototyping the next generation of System-on-Chip designs, such as the Cortex-A9 Quad Core. Through a range of plug-in daughterboards hardware and software applications can be developed and debugged.
- Versatile platform baseboards offer a single-board solution, containing a processor and I/O devices. They include boards for the ARM926EJ-S, ARM1176JZ(F)-S, ARM11 MPCore, and Cortex-A8 processors. They can be expanded by adding logic tiles to implement custom peripherals in an FPGA.
- The Versatile Emulation Baseboard contains I/O devices and memory. The system processor must be added by attaching a Versatile core tile. There is a second expansion slot for logic tiles. Versatile core tiles include boards for the ARM926EJ-S, ARM1136J(F)-S, ARM1156T2(F)-S, ARM1176JZ(F)-S, and ARM11 MPCore processor.
- Logic Tiles contain an FPGA that can be programmed with a processor core or used to implement your own custom logic. Logic Tiles are available with a choice of Xilinx Virtex-II, Virtex-4, Virtex-5, or Virtex-6 FPGAs.
