Navigating

This page tells you how to navigate this site. See:

To browse this site, use the Contents tab Contents icon on the left:

double-click on a topic to view it, and also to expand it so you can see the topics or documents it contains
single-click on a topic to view it without expanding it
click on the beside a topic to expand it without viewing it
click on the beside a topic to collapse it.

To match the Contents tab with the current topic, you can:

click the Refresh / Show Current Topic button at the top of the Contents tab
click the Show in Table of Contents button at the top of this document frame.

You can also navigate using the document itself, and buttons above its frame:

use the and buttons at the top and bottom of each page to read the topics in order
use the breadcrumbs such as Home > Searching > Using search scopes to get to higher level topics
use the Back and Forward buttons to step through the history of topics that you have viewed
use the Home button to return to the home page for this site.

To see a list of the available documents, use the Documents by number tab Documents by number icon on the left:

To display any document, click on it.
To search for a document by number, start typing the number into the Type… field. As you type, the first matching document is highlighted. You can:
- continue typing until the correct document is highlighted
- use the arrow keys to move the highlighting up or down the list of documents.
When the correct document is highlighted, press Return or click the Display button.

To change between the Contents , Documents by number , and Search Results tabs, click on the tabs beneath the frame:

To maximize a frame, click the Maximize button Maximize icon at the top of the frame.

To restore the frames afterwards, click the Restore button Restore icon that replaces the Maximize button.
